In tropical kitsch paradise, the long church procession awaits the hopeful. Hopefully, we have seen the last of this year's rain as the cool gentle November breeze subtly coax nostalgia. Luckily the weeklong rain did not dampen last week's rowdy bunch attending the opening of Jungle Fever foursome. Yes, the place was packed. And unlike dogs and cats scampering for cover, the crowd insisted on staying outside donning umbrellas fierce with alcohol. After all, Manila is all about being out on the streets.

As we stubbornly fall in love every Wednesday, like-minded Austin-based artists/conspirators
Tim Brown and Heyd Fontenot join our regular live talk show to exchange thoughts on independent artist initiatives. Likewise as we anticipate that time of the year with approaching year-end deadlines, calls for artists-in-residency and next round of grants and fellowship, independent cultural producer Vanini Belarmino shares some practical strategies on cross-border collaborative actions. Whilst street trimmings, bazaars, gift basket, kris kringle, peace, love and hope, life needs to go on sans the incurable fascination for merriment. As for recluse in hibernation, do consider a timely break for yet another long-awaited live and loud night at Green Papaya with Fack Art Lets Drags Op.1 by Lourd Ernest H. de Veyra and members of Radioactive Sago Project "improv concerto for illegally sampled copyrighted material, trumpet, bass, percussion and drums." So avoid the holiday rush. Better yet put it off, there is always time for last-minute shopping. Meanwhile love beckons!

P.S> we are regularly accepting evil propositions, love declarations, marriage proposals, practical survival tips and dirty laundry for Wednesdays I'm-n-love Open Platform (w.o.p). Send them in. Our maiden publication, Papaya Post, is slowly cooking in the broiler room please do send in your contributions.
