GREEN PAPAYA-KAMUNING: THE BIG OPENING NIGHT

GREEN PAPAYA-KAMUNING: THE BIG OPENING NIGHT
AUGUST 23 (SATURDAY), 6PM

Until the eighteenth century, there was no method of predicting weather at all. Exhalations of the earth, the come unannounced like the long lost uncle returning from far away, or the stranger that sits next to you in a neighborhood cafe, or better yet the scheming timing of an impending charter change. Like those who so fervently hold on to power with dear life, tooth and nail, we dig deeper to lay the cornerstone. Whilst the little obvious details that come unnoticed Green Papaya's re-Opening Night on August 23, 6PM at our new location, is one not to escape the faithful.

Against ongoing construction, chaos and security issues, we stubbornly let out the cries of emergence. Starting off with Angelo Suarez's well-attended Intermedia Poetics (w.o.p Residency) back to back with visiting Belgian artist Angelo Vermeulen talk and presentation. Despite settling bricks and mortar, urgency is of matter to be heard. So this Saturday, August 23 we aptly mark this new phase with the Exhibit Opening of 0% featuring the works of Tin Garcia, Lara delos Reyes, Kurt Gloria, Paul Mondok, Robert Langenegger, Jed Escueta, Kreskin Sugay, Jayson Oliveria, Pow Martinez, Poklong Anading, Kim Landicho and Joe Christ. Not to be missed are live performances by Khavn de la Cruz, LOC, The Lovegangsters, Radioactive Sago Project, Trojan Whores, Ria Muñoz and more. What's a party without take-home doggie bags? Free copies of Papaya Magazine: Independent Contemporary Art and Culture in Manila shall be given away to ten lucky winners!

So come one, come all, drink and be merry for tomorrow we die!
